Recap of the 2022 Competition Season

Competitions represent our final and most significant test. They show us whether our ideas and all the hard work we have invested in the project over the past year are on the right track. This year, as we ventured into competitions with an electric vehicle, which not only marks the first electric vehicle produced in Serbia but also the first vehicle in Serbia made of carbon fiber, the significance was incomparably greater.

This year, we qualified for four European competitions in Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary, and Croatia.

The first stop was Assen. The electric vehicle of Road Arrow participated in its first competition in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, due to certain technical issues that arose upon arrival in the Netherlands, we were unable to compete. However, our vehicle garnered significant interest both from the judges and other teams precisely because it was a student team that developed the first monocoque chassis and electric vehicle in Serbia.

Just two weeks later, Strela was present at the Alpe Adria competition in Croatia. Once again, we received confirmation of our work by passing the Mechanical Technical Inspection, Battery Technical Inspection, and Electronics Technical Inspection. As with previous competitions, our vehicle generated great interest, and even the judges praised both the vehicle’s concept and characteristics.

In August, our formula competed at the world-famous Hungaroring circuit. We successfully passed the Battery Technical Inspection and Mechanical Technical Inspection. We are particularly proud of the fact that the Battery and BMS (Battery Management System) met the competition standards. This was a significant validation of our work as it was our first electric vehicle, and all the electronics and the battery were entirely developed by students.

All in all, this has been a highly significant year for us. We launched our first electric vehicle, participated in numerous competitions, and received confirmation from judges and other teams that our project is on the right track.
