The Students’ Technical Tournaments was awarded the Star of Belgrade 2016 for the Road Arrow project. The award was presented on the 15.03.2017 in the Congress Hall of the Old Palace, organized by the Belgrade Youth Office.
Road Arrow is one of nineteen projects supported by the organizational units of the City Administration of Belgrade, but is unique in its magnitude and mission. In the 2016 season, the team, consisting of more than 40 students, built their fifth vehicle and took part in three competitions, Italy, the Czech Republic and Hungary. A significant result was achieved in Italy, where we were awarded 3rd place for conceptual design of an electric car. Road Arrow 2016 represents a huge technological step forward, in light of the use of carbon fiber in the production of parts for the formula and considering that the students opened the doors to a wider use of these composites in Serbia.
The Star of Belgrade 2016 is another confirmation of the importance of such a project and the qualities that are reflected in the knowledge of the participating students. The Road Arrow team will be making its sixth vehicle in the 2017 season, expecting much more success and awards for this and next year!
