Sponsors night

On Thursday, November 4, the members of the Road Arrow team will welcome their potential sponsors and friends of the upcoming E project at the premises of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The beginning of the new competition season will be marked by the Sponsor Night, attended by the highest representatives of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and other faculties of the University of Belgrade. Besides summarizing the impressions and results of the past season, giving special awards and thanks to mentors, friends, and the general sponsor, the young engineers will present the new E project. The new electric vehicle will defend the colors of Serbia and the name of the first Serbian Formula Student team on the world’s tracks for the first time this season.

In the past season, this team competed with the C vehicle on the tracks of the legendary Red Bull Ring in Austria, Hungaroring in Hungary, and in Croatia.

At the FS Austria competition, they participated in static and dynamic disciplines. In the AutoX discipline, they achieved a commendable 11th place, leaving 14 other teams behind. Qualifying for such a prestigious competition is a significant achievement, and the vehicle, operating under its normal conditions, proved to be competitive and passed the technical inspection in compliance with the rigorous rules of the elite FS Austria competition.

At the competition in Hungary, the drivers demonstrated their speed during the egress test, which tests quick and safe evacuation from the vehicle. The team achieved outstanding results in the Cost and Manufacturing – static discipline, securing 10th place out of 24 positions. The business plan defense was more than successful, placing the team among the top 10 out of 24 participants. On the second day, the tilt test was successfully passed. This year’s vehicle fulfilled all the tasks set until then, and the competitive day ended with a successful vehicle design defense.

At the third competition of the season – FS Alpe Adria in Croatia, the team earned the orange sticker for a successful technical inspection on the second day. They achieved notable results in the Cost discipline, securing second place. The presentations and defenses of the business plan and vehicle design were crowned with 11th and 7th place, respectively, outperforming 15 other participants. In the overall rankings, Road Arrow ranked among the top 10.

The main values nurtured in this team for years are primarily loyalty and dedication. This is evidenced by over 90,000 hours of work invested and over 3,000 parts manufactured by students with the selfless help of people who always provided their advice, necessary tools, and knowledge. Special thanks are owed to the team’s general sponsor, ZF Serbia, which will continue to support young engineers this year as well. With additional help from old and, hopefully, new friends after the Sponsor Night, the Road Arrow team will continue at a high speed towards achieving new notable results.
